ASOSU holding open forum to discuss tuition increase

The Daily Barometer

The Associated Students of Oregon State University will be sponsoring three different budget forums to answer questions students may have about proposed tuition increases for OSU students for the 2016-17 academic year.

In the past, members of ASOSU have organized similar panels and events to address concerns of tuition affordability in colleges and universities across the state. Additional partnerships with these events have been in cooperation with the Oregon Student Association.

The proposed budgets include a 2.2 percent increase for resident undergraduate tuition and a 4 percent increase increase for non-resident graduate tuition, according to information from OSU News and Research Communications.

The second open public forum for questions is today from 3p.m. to 4p.m. in the room 128 in the Learning Innovation Center.

The third open public forum is 6p.m. to 7p.m. on Monday, Feb. 15 in Weniger 153.

Additional information on upcoming student government events can be found on their website at asosu.oregonstate.edu.
