On Wednesday, Oregon State University’s Public Safety Chief of Police, Shanon Anderson, was placed on paid leave until further notice.
In an email, Rob Odom, the vice president for university relations and marketing, stated that he cannot comment but can confirm that Anderson is currently on leave.
According to the OSU Public Safety website, James Yon is acting in place of Anderson while she is on leave.
Anderson has been chief at OSU Public Safety since 2020. She previously worked in the Seattle Police Department beginning in 1992.
