Starting forward Parsa Fallah announced he is entering the transfer portal Friday morning, alongside forward Michael Rataj, guard Nate Kingz and point guard DaJohn Craig who entered the transfer portal on Tuesday afternoon.
The NCAA transfer portal for men’s college basketball opened on March 24 and will close on April 22.
Rataj has been with OSU since the 2022-23 season coming from Augsburg, Germany. Rataj started in all games for the Beavers this season and averaged 16.9 points per game, 7.2 assists, and two rebounds. Rataj had 10 double-doubles this season and had a season high of 30 points against Santa Clara University on January 9.
Rataj is one of the Beavers top scorers alongside Fallah, and earned first team All-Conference honors by the West Coast Conference.
“From a young age, it was my dream to play Division I college basketball in the United States, and being able to live that dream as a Beaver has meant everything to me…After much reflection, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal. This wasn’t an easy decision but I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. I’ll always value the experiences and growth I’ve had during my time at Oregon State,” Rataj said announcing his departure via Instagram.
Fallah came to OSU from Southern Utah University in the offseason with a 59.8% field goal shooting percentage. Fallah earned All-Conference second team honors by the WCC. Fallah averaged 12.8 points per game, four rebounds and scored a career high of 25 points in three games this season against University of California at Davis, Idaho University and University of the Pacific.
“Wearing orange and black and representing this program has been an honor…After much thought and discussion with my family, I have decided to enter the transfer portal… No matter where this chapter takes me, I will always be grateful for my time as a Beaver,” Fallah said via Instagram.
Kingz received All-Conference honorable mention by the WCC and averaged 11.8 points per game with a 50.4% in field goal shooting and 45% from behind the three-point line.
Craig saw minimal minutes for the Beavers this season after sustaining an injury. Craig averaged 1.9 points per game, 0.7 assists, and 0.5 rebounds. Craig had a season high of nine points against Western Oregon University on November 12.
“Due to an recent injury that ended my season, I would like to use my 3 years of eligibility elsewhere and enter my name in the Transfer Portal,” Craig said announcing his departure via Instagram.
The Oregon State men’s basketball team is set to compete in the College Basketball Crown tournament. Their first game is against the University of Central Florida on April 1.
