Peter Halajian is the Speaker of the House of Representatives and is serving his first year with the Associated Students of Oregon State University.
In a unanimous vote by the members of the Associated Students of Oregon State University House of Representatives, Speaker Peter Halajian will remain in his position and not be impeached.
Last week, several members of the student government introduced legislation to impeach Halajian, accusing the speaker of not working his full 20 hours a week, despite being paid $960 per month from student fees, among other concerns. Halajian called some of the criticisms ‘personal attacks,’ but committed to making improvements.
