A confederate flag hangs in a 2nd floor window of the Pillar Student Resource Center located on Monroe. That insults all of us who detest racism and this noxious symbol of slavery. That building is the Chi Alpha Ministries location. Flying the confederate flag takes free speech past acceptability, kind of like yelling “FIRE!” in a crowded theater. That flag must be removed to maintain peace. Hopefully rental agreement wording prohibits tenants from inciting a riot and will be grounds for eviction of the racist occupying the room displaying the confederate flag.
