Gallery: OSU hosts annual Peace March for MLK Jr. Day

Over 100 participants marched through campus in the cool, crisp air on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 20, 2025. Oregon State University’s annual Peace March took place at 11 a.m. starting at the CH2M Alumni Center.

Students, faculty, alumni, and Corvallis community members participated in the Peace March.

Before the march, several participants made signs displaying phrases, thoughts, and quotes from Dr. MLK Jr.

Jamar Bean, Director of the Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center led the march utilizing a megaphone bullhorn uniting participants in singing “This Little Light of Mine”.

The Peace March concluded in the Student Experience Center Plaza with several speakers including Bean, and President of the OSU Chapter National Society of Black Engineers Tai-Renee King.
