Students and non-students alike are welcome to join Oregon State University’s Rainbow Continuum on Nov. 3 for their annual fall drag show – Hallow-Queen, in the LaSells Stewart Center.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are needed but are completely free and provided at the door. The event is for those 18 years or older. There will be no food provided, and they have a strict clear bag policy.
Among the performers is the drag queen Lavender Haze, last year’s winner of Beaver Royalty. Alongside Lavender, performers from Haus Of Dharma, such as Frisky, as well as a range of 14 other drag queens, will perform from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The show will feature a student here at OSU; it is the first big drag event they are performing for. Renee Jensen, the president of the Rainbow Continuum, said that this student was inspired to start drag by the spring show earlier in the year and was the second performer to sign up.
“This whole show is a way for people to express their art form, and with everything going on with the attacks on LGBTQ people, showing support is most important,” Jensen said.
