Oregon State offensive lineman Marco Brewer was arrested and charged with assault in the fourth degree on Jan. 20 following a domestic violence incident, according to Benton County Deputy District Attorney Jonathan Crow.

According to Crow, the two charges that are being filed against Brewer are assault in the fourth degree constituting domestic violence and harassment. The charges are considered misdemeanors under Oregon law.

Brewer is currently being held in the Benton County Jail.

This isn’t the first time that Brewer has dealt with legal issues before. In 2018, he entered into an Alford plea of guilty to one count of felony coercion after he was accused of raping a girl at a party in 2017 as a student at Corvallis High School according to The Oregonian.

Brewer joined the Oregon State football team in 2020 and played in 18 games for the Beavers. He did not play in the 2023 season due a knee injury he sustained prior to the start of the campaign.

Brewer is also out of eligibility but could apply for a medical redshirt to give him an extra year, but it is unclear whether or not he’ll be on the Beaver’s roster in 2024. As of publishing, Brewer is currently listed on the roster for Oregon State.
