Elections and Emotions, an event to talk through emotions and feelings surrounding election night, will take place in Memorial Union room 208 on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The event, organized by Community Engagement & Leadership and Counseling & Psychological Services, is open to any students who are looking for a safe environment to gather post elections.
They also held an event before the elections began, on Oct. 30, giving resources for anxiety and providing tips.
“The main takeaways were a feeling of unity in the stress that was felt this election season and thinking more about how to cope with stress in general. CAPS played a huge role in building a welcoming environment and providing crucial resources for students as they guided people through calming exercises and talking about how to effectively identify stress along with providing ideas on how to cope with it,” said Yael Ekule, a program specialist for the dialogic programming team at CEL.
CAPS has also curated an elections resources page to help students struggling. The Elections and Emotions event is open to any OSU student, staff or faculty.
