On Dec. 11, 2024 the campus police chief was placed on paid leave, and has remained on leave since.
In an email, James Yon, the acting police chief, said that things are going well and that DPS staff members are continuing to excel in their roles in support of public safety.
Rob Odom, the vice president for university relations and marketing, confirmed that Anderson is currently on leave but that he cannot comment further on the topic.
Anderson has not responded to requests for a comment. As of December 2024 Anderson’s salary is $196,512.
Anderson has been chief at OSU Public Safety since 2020. She previously worked in the Seattle Police Department beginning in 1992.
