With last January’s ice storm still fresh on minds, the Corvallis community is prepping for another cold spell. 

The National Weather Service is predicting freezing overnight temperatures in Corvallis with a snow and rain mix beginning Saturday night and progressing into next week. They do not, at this time, have any winter weather warnings in Corvallis.

The Cascade Passes, however, are under winter storm warnings from NWS. They recommend considering postponing travel or driving carefully if it is necessary.

According to the City of Corvallis, roads to essential buildings, like the Samaritan emergency room, are at top priority should it snow. More information can be found on their website about preparations for snow and ice.
