An International Women’s Day event called, “Unite and Resist” will occur on Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Corvallis.
The event is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. at the Benton County Circuit Court in downtown Corvallis, located at 120 NW Fourth St.
“This event will be sign-holding (no marching or speeches this time),” said Esther Baas, an organizer for the event, in an email.
Baas said that Senator Gleser-Blouin, Congresswoman Finger McDonald, as well as Corvallis Mayor Charles Maughan were all invited to the event.
According to the event page, the goal of the event is to champion women’s rights and advocate for equality. Participants are encouraged to bring signs and join in a peaceful protest. The event is family-friendly and dog-friendly, and the organizers welcome individuals of all ages.
