Wildfire season in the Benton County area began at the end of May to early June. According to the State of Oregon Fires and Hotspots Dashboard, there are no active fires in Benton County. However, in the state of Oregon there are currently 19 active fires.

Since the weather this summer is predicted to be hotter and drier than normal, areas such as southeastern and central Oregon are expected to have an above-normal fire risk.
