ASOSU President Audrey Schlotter said that there will be work groups to help restructure student government, in an address to the Board of Trustees on March 14.
Two weeks after all ASOSU endeavors were put on pause, Schlotter gave a report to the Oregon State University Board of Trustees on the state of the student government. In this report, Schlotter said that the student government will see work groups during the pause which will include all ASOSU members.
The work groups will focus on several aspects of student government, including work culture, employment, and government documents. Schlotter said that she expects government documents to change but is not sure in what capacity at this time.

This article was written to spotlight both the student body’s lack of participation with student government at the time in conjunction with their class representatives response. [It’s important to note ASOSU was not structured identically to today’s standards, likely having a president on behalf of each class work together as one entity as opposed to one president representing all classes.]](https://dailybaro.orangemedianetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Screenshot-2025-03-12-1.00.42-PM-e1741811160853.png)
