The Corvallis Knights earned their seventh consecutive win with a 12-2 win over the Redmond Dudes on Monday night at Goss Stadium.

The Knights improve their record to 4-0 in non-league games for the 2023 season with their win over Redmond.

The non-league game featured a dominant hitting performance from the Knights and significant individual performances from Knights catcher Tyler Howard and infielder Phoenix Call.

Howard finished the game with a pair of singles and a double, while Call finished with a pair of two-run RBI doubles.

Along with the significant individual performances from both Howard and Call, plenty of Knights also scored in the game.

Infielders Mason Le, Ty Yukumoto, Blake Avila, and pitcher Merit Jones all scored runs for the Knights.

The Knights pitching staff stymied the Dudes offense throughout the course of the game as pitchers Kellen Segel, Joey Mundt, Ethan Collins, and Kaleb Woltz all combined for six strikeouts and gave up no runs. Right-handed pitcher Morgan Codron closed out the game for the Knights and earned two strikeouts.

Throughout the course of the game, the Dudes had significant pitching struggles as their pitching staff gave up 13 walks and only earned just three strikeouts of Knights batters.

The issued walks from the Dudes as well as consistent base hits from the Knights, proved to be too much for the Dudes to handle, as they were down six runs after the conclusion of the fourth inning.

The game was a non-league game, which means that there were no stats were recorded for either team, but in the end, the Knights walked away with a high-scoring victory.

The Knights have a three-game series against the Kelowna Falcons at Goss Stadium starting Tuesday, with a first pitch time set for 6:35 pm.
