Head coach Trent Bray and the Oregon State Football team celebrate the holiday season a little early with the gift of signing day, with new exciting talent who have chosen to become Beavers.
The Beavers had its annual signing day on Tuesday afternoon and welcomed 19 new faces to Corvallis, Oregon.
“I thought we hit well on needs that we have,” Bray said on his thoughts overall on this year’s new commits. “We did a great job on evaluating talent and are very excited to get them started here.”
The team will have six players commit early at the start of the 2025 winter term to get ahead in their education and also to plant their roots in the OSU athletics program.
“Sean Craig will be here. (Bleu) Dantzler will be here. Jeremiah (Ioane) will be here. (Trey) Glasper will be here, and I believe Jake (Normoyle) will join us,” Bray said.
One of the top recruits brought in is Dantzler at center, the No. 10 ranked player out of the state of Arizona, hailing from Basha High School.
“(He’s a) really dynamic pass rusher off the edge that we would like to have and develop,” Bray said
Another very interesting addition that has become a point of interest for most fans, was California quarterback, Tristan Ti’a. In a year where three different quarterbacks took snaps from under center, bringing in a new face that could hold down the spot has Beaver Nation enthusiastic.
“I think I probably can’t give you a truthful answer on that right now,” Bray said on the current state of the quarterback room, “but I think there’s room for improvement and we could use a mix of young talent and a veteran guy.”
One of the new waves formed from this new era of name, image, and likeness, is having to resign current players back to the roster.
“This is one of the only conferences in the country where you can play regionally anymore. So for a California kid, a Washington kid, or a Oregon kid that ability to have your family watch you play is a big factor to it,” Bray said when asked about the process of resigning his current roster and keeping his players around.
“It going well though, and you know you’re always gonna have a couple guys here and there that are gonna either move for the opportunity or move for the financial opportunity, so you just try to hold on as best as you can, but so far it’s been really well received.”
The rest of the roster will shake out but from this class of recruits, the 2025 college football season for The Beavers looks to be an exciting one with this pool of new talent.
