Beaver baseball saw an outpour of awards from the PAC-12 as well as nominations nationally this week.
Infielder Travis Bazzana was named PAC-12 player of the year Tuesday, becoming the seventh Beaver ever to be given that award, following Jacob Melton and Adley Rutchsmann most recently. He was also named batting champion.
As listed on the PAC-12 website, Beavers that made it on the All-Conference Team include pitchers Aiden May, Jacob Kmatz and Bridger Homes, outfielder Gavin Turley and Bazzana.
Elijah Hainline, Joey Mundt, Eric Segura and Mason Guerra were given honorable mentions.
Jacob Kmatz was also named to the All-Defensive Team as well as earning a weekly award.
Kmatz earned his third PAC-12 pitching award of the year, bringing in the fourth pitching award for the season with May being given one on April 29.
Travis Bazzana has lived up to his name as a powerhouse at Oregon State. After a summer at Cape Cod and Oregon State University records broken across the board this season, he was also named a semi-finalist for the annual Golden Spikes Award on Monday.
The Beavers are currently playing in the PAC-12 Tournament against Stanford University and Arizona State in Pool B in Scottsdale, Arizona, and are looking to secure home game spots for regionals and a possible trip to Omaha.
