A jazz festival will be hosted on Aug. 25 from noon to 8 p.m. at Common Fields located in downtown Corvallis at 545 SW 3rd St.
There will be a $5 entry fee to enter the event, but the event is free for kids aged 12 and under.
This is Common Fields’ first time hosting a jazz festival event.
“We have hosted a variety of festivals in the past and this is one we have been dreaming up for some time. We look forward to bringing it back every year,” said Jacob Oliver, manager of Common Fields, in an email.
According to Oliver, there will be tokens that cost $4 and will get you wine pours from the different booths as well as allow you to get any of the food specials.
There will be 200 limited edition wine-tasting glasses available for purchase for $20. These glasses come with three tokens.
“This makes the transactions easier for vendors so there are no cash/card transactions,” Oliver said.
There will be live jazz music performed by local artists Choro Na Cozina, Charlene & Her Champagne Bruts, Idle Hands Trio, Ben Mutschler Trio and Jazz Palzz.
They will be serving food specials such as oysters, tapas, cheese boards and charcuterie. Also, wineries will be selling their wine specials. “(There will be) lots of Jazz music from amazing local artists. I am personally most excited for the food specials. Our chefs have crafted some very exciting specials for this event!” Oliver said.
