For the first time in 80 years, the Beavers will play the same opponent twice in the regular season.
The Oregon State Beavers football schedule for the 2025-26 season was released on Wednesday, which included the oddity of the same opponent for the first time since 1945.
The Beavers will play seven home games, and five away games, with opponents in the Big 10, Big 12, ACC, future and current Pac-12, Patriot League, Conference USA, Sun Belt Conference, and the AAC; nine different conferences.
The team the Beavers will face multiple times is none other than the remaining Pac-12 school, Washington State. They will face each other once in Reser Stadium, and the other at Gesa Field in Pullman, WA.
The Beavers kick off their season facing a former Pac-12 member in Berkeley, California against the Golden Bears on Aug. 30, 2025.
Following the Golden Bears, the Beavers face off against a future conference member in Fresno State. This game will be on Sep. 6, 2025.
The first road game of the season for the Beavers will take place in Lubbock, Texas when they face off against Texas Tech of the Big 12. This game is on September 13 and will be the first time the Beavers take on the Red Raiders since 1959
The next game continues the rivalry of the team down south in the University of Oregon, where the Beavers face off against their rivals in Autzen stadium. Mark your calendars for Sep. 20, 2024.
The Beavers return from their road games and face off against the University of Houston on Sep. 27, followed by Appalachian State on the road on Oct. 4. This is one of the many opponents they will play for the first time in their history. This game is followed by their first bye week of the season.
Oct. 18, they face off against another school they have never seen before at Lafayette College. This game is followed by the third straight game against a new opponent the Demon Deacons at Wake Forest University on Oct. 25.
Nov. 1 is the first time the Beavers see the Cougars, and the series starts off in Corvallis.
This game is followed by another new foe in Sam Houston on Nov. 8 before finally departing for another road game against Tulsa on Nov. 15, their fifth and final game against a new opponent of the season.
This is followed by their second bye week before their season finale once again against Washington State, this time in Pullman, Washington on Nov. 29.
Five of the eleven opponents the Beavers play are for the very first time, one is the second time, and one is the fourth. This is due to both the Beavers and Cougars being unable to ink another deal with the Mountain West Conference in football.
The following year will be the first year, 2027, of the new-looking Pac-12, which sees new opponents, a future for the Beavers, and the Pac-12.
