As the new year passes, so does the Barometer first term of the 2024-2025 school year. In what was a chaotic first term, our team had the privilege of covering first hand breaking news, features on people at our university and many other stories.
The best part of student journalism is that we are at the front of telling our campus stories that aren’t heard otherwise and that is what we prioritized during fall term. Our fall term was also spent covering many political changes, strikes and other.
Every new presidential administration brings about big changes, and this issue looks into some of those among other news.
With the presidential inauguration coming up on Jan. 20, this issue covers people who are doing their own part in holding others accountable, to cover important issues to many students on campus and to give people access to resources to learn.
We are excited to tackle a new year at the Barometer and step into our last two terms as editors of this historic paper. As always, we write to record the history of the people at Oregon State University and in the surrounding community.
