Football
Tristan Ti’a, a high school class of 2025 quarterback commit from Pleasanton, CA, jumped to a four-star player rating on 247sports.com.
The Beaver football quarterback room has been going through some changes this offseason with keeping Gabarri Johnson, the signing of transfer Maalik Murphy to OSU, and the departure of Gevani McCoy from the transfer portal to Texas State.
Ti’a is a name to watch as the Beavers continue to build their team for this upcoming Fall season.
Gymnastics
OSU gymnast Jade Carey has been ranked No. 1 in the country in NCAA gymnastics, according to insidegym.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist is consistently setting the bar high with almost perfect scores, always putting up a score above 9.900 on the board for the Beavers.
Carey is helping the Beavers to national recognition this recent season competing all-around after her tenure competing and training elite last season. Carey is one of only 13 gymnasts in the NCAA to have completed a gym slam, which is earning a perfect 10 on all four gymnastics events, during her career.
Along with this feat, during Carey’s time at OSU, she has won back-to-back Pac-12 all-around championships, been named Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year twice, and was a WCGA First Team All-American on uneven bars.
Carey, who represented Team USA on the international stage for the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympic games, continues to showcase her abilities and elite skills at each meet as crowds for gymnastics grow after having a record-breaking crowd of 6,551 against Brigham Young University.
Baseball
The OSU baseball team has earned a No. 9 national ranking from Baseball America, establishing them as a force to be reckoned with.
The Beavers have received numerous preseason rankings, all being placed within the top 10, from D1Baseball.com to Perfect Game Preseason Top 25.
The Beavers finished the 2024 season after a loss in the program’s ninth NCAA Super Regional located in Lexington, KY.
With high expectations this season, the Beavers are in preparation for another competitive season, with their eyes set on the College World Series in June of 2025.
