Corvallis adopts ranked choice voting for upcoming general election

For the first time in Benton County history the ballot will have rank choice voting. Voters will be able to rank the candidate they favor most as their first choice, but in case that candidate doesn't have enough popular support to win, voters can add a back up choice.
