Former Oregon State tight end Teagan Quitoriano is bound for Houston after the Texans selected him with the 170th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The 6’6”, 240-pound Salem, Ore. native is the first Beaver tight end to be drafted since Tim Euhus in 2004.  Quitoriano is also the first Beaver to be taken off the board in this years’ draft.

Throughout his three-season Oregon State career, Quitoriano was known primarily for his run-blocking skills, which is likely a significant factor in the Texans’ interest in him.

In addition, he also showcased his receiving skills during his time with the Beavers, catching 40 passes for 512 yards and six touchdowns.

The Sprague high school graduate will be joining a tight end group in Houston consisting of Antony Auclair, Brevin Jordan and former University of Oregon standout Pharaoh Brown.

Also of note is that Quitoriano will be joining fellow Beaver Brandin Cooks, who led the Texans in both receptions and receiving yards last season, catching 90 passes for a total of 1037 yards.
