While Central Park may be downtown, this year’s true crime and haunted tours led by Engage Corvallis certainly won’t be a walk in the park.
Engage Corvallis is giving guided true crime and ghost tours on Oct. 31, Halloween night in downtown Corvallis to show people a spookier side of the city.
There will be a total of three tours running the night of the 31st, at 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Each tour will run one hour.
Tickets are $20, but students can use the promo code STUDENT at checkout for three dollars off.
Jema Patterson, spokesperson for Engage Corvallis, said that the idea to run the ghost tours came from coming across chilling true crime and ghost stories while conducting extensive research for other tours she leads.
“This is the first year of the ghost tour,” Jema Patterson said. “There are a lot of creepy ghost stories out there. I do historical storytelling … so there were lots of creepy stories that I kept coming across during research.”
