Oregon State University has named wide receivers coach Kefense Hynson interim head football coach, effective immediately, according to a press release from the OSU Athletic Communications Office.
Hynson, the former wide receivers coach who joined the Beavers in 2018, was part of three consecutive trips to bowl games and a standout 10-win season in 2022.
Notable alumni Hynson coached include Isaiah Hodgins (WR, New York Giants) and Trevon Bradford, who both left a lasting impact on the OSU wide receiver record books.
Under Hynson’s guidance at Oregon State, five receivers have earned All-PAC-12 awards.
Hynson will oversee coaching duties for OSU’s bowl game, which is set to be announced on Dec. 3rd.
According to the press release, Oregon State will search nationwide to select the next head coach of the Beaver football squad.
