Oregon State University’s FlatTail Festival was canceled Thursday due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to a statement from OSU Student Affairs.
The FlatTail Festival includes the DAMJam2024, a concert featuring the pop band COIN, and the Residence Hall Association Carnival, all of which is put on annually by OSU Program Council.
“As members of this community, we work to promote safety and security on our campuses and hope that we can bring this event back next year,” said Damoni Wright, associate vice provost of OSU Student Affairs and executive director of Student Engagement and Experiences and Stephen Jenkins, associate vice provost of student affairs and executive director of University Housing and Dining Services, in the statement.
As of now, Wright and Jenkins were unable to comment on specifics of the cancellation.
More updates as to why the event was canceled will come if and as they are available.
