Oregon State University’s 2025 budget was approved when the OSU Board of Trustees convened on Friday to vote on multiple items.
The budget, increased from last year, as Associate Vice President for Budget and Resource Planning Brent Gustafson said on Thursday during the Finance and Administration Committee meeting, incorporates the financial impact of tuition and fee increases approved by the board in April.
The budget also reflects a projected increase in net expenditures as well as a substantial loss in conference revenues from the PAC-12. The university is also working to mitigate uncertainties about enrollment caused by FAFSA timing delays.
The Board also approved a budget increase to the university’s Administrative Modernization Program, from $50 million to $83.1 million.
According to a university press release, “the program will implement new university technology systems, data practices and policies to increase the university’s organizational agility and eventually result in cost savings.”
