Bard in The Quad, Oregon State University’s annual public community performance held in the Memorial Union Quad, puts on a production of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar from Aug 1-4 and 8-11. The high-concept play is directed by Elizabeth “Liz” Helman and costumed by DeMara Cabrera, both theatre instructors at OSU. Attendees can enjoy a stunning sci-fi interpretation of the renowned play, right on the grass of the MU Quad for $17 general tickets, $12 for non-OSU students and seniors, and free of charge for OSU students with ID. The show begins at 7:30pm, with seating open at 6:30pm, with two acts bisected by beautiful golden hour casted upon the performance. This year, Julius Caesar is reimagined into something a little more futuristic.
