The People’s Pint: Dine Out was held on August 9 at a downtown Corvallis pub, Block 15. The all-day event, hosted by the pub, was organized by the Corvallis Environmental Center as part of their fundraising efforts.

Customers were allowed to enjoy the usual delicacies and craft beer, while doing a good cause as 10% of the day’s food sales were donated to the center. The Corvallis Environmental Center organizes fundraising activities to run Energize Corvallis, Avery House Nature Center and the Edible Corvallis Initiative, all in hopes to create a healthy and sustainable environment for the Corvallis residents.

Block 15 saw a steady stream of customers on Tuesday as groups of residents came to enjoy delicious food while doing their part in contributing to a better Corvallis.

One of the center’s focuses is to strengthen peoples relationships with local ecosystems, healthy food and environmental activism. Block 15 was chosen as the location for the Dine Out event as it serves locally sourced food.
