Beaver baseball junior infielder Nick Madrigal was selected as the 4th pick overall in the 2018 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox.

Madrigal is the highest overall draft pick in Oregon State University baseball history. The all-American is the ninth Beaver to be drafted in the first round, according a press release from OSU Athletics.

This season, Madrigal is batting .406 with seven doubles, four triples, three home runs and 32 RBI, playing in 32 games during the season.
