BEEvent Pollinator Conference brings buzz to Linn County Expo Center

Wes Flow, News Reporter

The Linn County Master Gardener Association, with support from the Oregon State University Extension Service, is holding the 2023 BEEvent Pollinator Conference on March 4th at Linn County Expo Center.

This year marks the 9th year of BEEvent, the largest pollinator conference in the Pacific Northwest, according to the LCMGA, and will have experts on pollinators and pollinator-related vendors, according to the OSU Extension Service website

According to the event schedule, the event runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with sign-in opening at 8:30 a.m. and a lunch break from 12:10 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. The LCMGA says attendees should bring their own lunch, since parking will be limited and leaving for lunch is discouraged.

Tickets for the conference are available through the LCMGA website, and will be on sale until March 2, unless tickets sell out sooner. For those who can’t make it in person, a recording of the event will also be available, which can be purchased in advance from the LCMGA website as well.

The event lineup of speakers will feature Brooke Edmunds with the OSU Extension Service, OSU Associate Professor Sandy DeBano, Master Gardeners Ranee Webb and Susan Morton, and retired entomologist Rich Little, according to the event schedule.
