Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night, a survivor-centered event, was held on April 26 in the Memorial Union Lounge to recognize Sexual Assault Awareness/Action Month (SAAM). The event consisted of multiple components including keynote speeches by Carli Rohner, Ray Sullivan, Representative Annessa Hartman, and Ashley Vaugn. The event also included performances by Divine, a student a capella group, and Kinetic, a student dance group. These performances were followed by an on-campus march led by students, Ray Sullivan and Julia Rankin, beginning at the Memorial Union quad and across to the Valley Library. Through this event, the aim was to unite the community in support of survivors of sexual violence in a confidential setting.
