In 2023, Hō’ike continues to celebrate Hawaiian culture

Hō’ike is an annual event held by the Hui O Hawai’i Club. Hō’ike includes many different performances such as dances and songs. This event happened at the LeSells Stewart Center at Oregon State University on April 29. Parents flew in from out of state to watch their students perform at Hō’ike, others came to this event to enjoy the culture, music, and performances of Hawai’i. It has been nearly 68 years since the first Hō’ike. At this event there was an art gallery featuring a few different artists and photographers as well as vendors selling goods made by the Hui O Hawai’i Club.
