Robot named Yellow Box wins OSU combat robotics competition

Tessa Hoover, Multimedia Contributor

On March 7, OSU’s combat robotics club held a competition where homemade robots fought to be the last robot standing. Each robot was designed and built completely from scratch. The robots competing had to be made completely out of plastic, with the only exception being the electronics themselves. The completion itself was a double elimination tournament so each bot was guaranteed to fight at least twice. In the end Ruizhe Zhao’s bot, “Yellow Box,” prevailed and took home the first place trophy.
