Oregon State University has announced that PDF e-transcript requests will now be free of charge in an updated fee structure for official transcripts that will go into effect on March 6, according to an all-students email sent on Tuesday. Paper transcripts, including the pick-up option, will now cost $10 instead of zero.

The decision to make e-transcripts free is due to increased requests and for OSU to ‘best support students.’

Transcript services will be temporary unavailable from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday and it will go live by the end of the day on March 6. Additional features include secure requesting transcripts online 24/7, tracking requests online and an email notification for when e-transcripts are delivered.
