The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help identifying an adult male caught on camera building a structure in Oregon State University’s McDonald-Dunn Research Forest. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect allegedly has cut down trees in the research forest, located 10 miles north from campus, to construct it.

OSU stated that the Forest is extensively used for university instruction and research to compare management themes such as even-aged and reserved old-growth stands, allowing for side-by-side comparisons of the themes.

The Sheriff’s Office has asked anyone with information to contact Cpl. Al Schermerhorn at [email protected] or by calling 541-766-6874.
