Oregon State University is encouraging students to take part in the 2022 Oregon General Election this November.

In an email on Wednesday, the university said, “we hope that everyone eligible to vote in Oregon will participate in the democratic process and exercise their right to vote.”

In order to vote in the 2022 Oregon General Election election on Nov. 8, voters must have their registrations submitted by Oct. 18. Oregon residents can register to vote or update their registration online on the state’s election website.

Voters who have moved or changed their name or party affiliation will need to update their registration. Students can register to vote using either a university address or their permanent home address.

Students registered at their permanent home address who would like their ballot sent to their school address will need to apply for an absentee ballot. Both addresses will need to be included on the registration.
