OSU appoints interim provost, executive vice president

Ron Adams, Oregon State University’s Interim Vice President of Administration has been appointed as the university’s Interim Provost and Executive Vice President starting July 1, 2016.

Adams was named Interim Provost and Executive Vice President after it was announced that current Provost and Executive Vice President Sabah Randhawa is leaving OSU to become the

President of Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA,this coming August.

After arriving at OSU in 1998, Adams has served as a tenured professor of the College of Engineering, dean of the College of Engineering, executive associate vice president for research and was most recently appointed to interim vice president for research in June 2014.

Adams will serve as the interim provost and executive vice president while the university begins its national search for a permanent provost and executive vice president during the 2016-2017 school year.

Mike Green, OSU’s vice president for finance, has been asked by Adams to serve as interim vice president for finance and administration while Adams is working at interim provost.
