Props to pizza

The Daily Barometer

Of all the pizza places in Corvallis, three have been voted to be superior than the rest.

American Dream Pizza:Founded in 1989, this Monroe street pizza joint has been a staple for Oregon State students, faculty, and alumni to grab a quick slice for a good price.

Dominos: This business also sits on Monroe street in Corvallis. Domino’s has one unique factor that separates them from the rest of the pack, they stay open on the weekends well into the night, keeping their doors open until 1:00 a.m. most nights, and 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Domino’s general manager Kendra Maggard said last year, they saw need with late night business, and that decision has had a positive effect on their business.

“We saw the need to go for late night business, and it’s worked wonders for us,” Maggard said. “What makes us unique is that we are now able to get the late night boom, because we provide cheap, and quick pizza.”

And the last finalist is Pizza Hut, who is the outlier in this group in terms of location, being on Kings Blvd near Winco.

General Manager Samantha Johnson, noted that having coupons in the Student Survival Kit, helps them cater to the younger crowd, along with their speciality crust.

“We always hope to cater to students with the coupons in the student survival kit,” Johnson said. “The most popular for students is the stuffed crust, it really seems like the younger crowd of students really prefer that pizza.”
