Oregon State University’s Program Council prepares to host the return of DAMJam on May 30th from 5 to 9 p.m. in the SEC Plaza after last year’s cancellation.
This annually scheduled event spotlights a musical guests that aim to leave students in anticipation as they prepare to end the spring term.
This year, Dayglow has been revealed to be the headliner with local artist’s Airplane Baby, Not Your Ex Lover, and DJ Leo as the opening artists.
Last year, DAMJam was cancelled by OSU administration due to “logistics and safety” concerns, citing a lack of infrastructure requirements necessary to conduct the event.
Sarah Kaufman, the OSUPC Lead Event Specialist, noted a few usual safety measures in an email exchange including:
- OSU Staff will remain on site for the entirety of the concert
- Corvallis police and EMT will be on site in case of an emergency
- Alcohol and drugs are prohibited
- Weapons, umbrellas, posters and signs are prohibited
