Oregon State students are encouraged to invite their families to campus for Fall Family weekend from Nov. 7 – 9.
The weekend will be filled with different events for parents and students to enjoy.
Events range from family fitness classes at Dixon Recreational Center to Beaver football at Reser Stadium against Sam Houston.
From on Nov. 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m, students and their families can register to participate in a golf tournament at Trysting Tree Golf Course. This event has a $100 entry fee, and to learn more, you can visit their website.
Dixon recreational center is offering free group fitness classes the entire weekend when accompanied by someone with a group fitness pass holder. For the schedule of classes, you can visit their website.
On Nov 8 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the OSU Campus Arboretum is hosting their Fall Foliage Tour. The tour starts at the Memorial Union steps and is led by Dan Blanchard, Curator of Living Plant Collections for Oregon State University Campus Arboretum and Horticulture Instructor.
Then at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., also on Nov. 8,, the Craft Center in the Student Experience Center (SEC) will be hosting t-shirt screen printing. T-shirts will be available for purchase of $15. There will be free activities around the studio.
Later, the Beavers kickoff at 7 p.m against Sam Houston. Starting at 4:30 p.m., Tailgate Town will be open with food and activities to go to before the game begins.
The next day, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m, the Department of Recreational Sports is going Whitewater Rafting on the North Santiam River. The route of the experience is 7 miles long. Registration for this event closes at 4 p.m on Nov. 5, and there is an $85 fee for students and $95 fee for the OSU community.
