There will be a brief outage of the OSU phone system between 10 p.m. and midnight Wednesday night; the outage will affect both the Corvallis and Bend campuses but should last no longer than 10 minutes.

According to Shanon Anderson, associate vice president for public safety and OSU’s chief of police, some of the affected services will include elevator emergency phones as well as the BlueLight emergency phones.

Should an emergency occur during the outage, 9-1-1 should be called from a mobile device, Anderson said. The outage will also affect the Hatfield Marine Center.

The Department of Public Safety can be reached directly at 531-737-3010 before 10 p.m., or 541-737-7000 between 10 p.m. and midnight.
