On July 4, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., the Red, White and Blue riverfront festival will take place at Riverfront Commemorative Park.
According to visitcorvallis.com, the festival is a free, family-friendly event and will have many different activities, including— but not limited to— live music, food vendors and craft booths.
According to the event’s webpage, the live music will feature the artists Jeanne Gregg, Slippy + the Sheets, Jean Short Jesus, Red Cloud and Citizens of the Universe. The sponsors and vendors for the event will be Connected Reality Group, Old World Deli, 2Towns Cider, Murphy’s On The River, Downward Dog, Forks And Corks Catering and Wacky Indoor Bounce.
Cloud Davidson, one of the producers of the event, said in an email that preparing for the festival involves a lot of preparation for permits, vendors, logistics and entertainment.
“Every year brings new challenges, but we have a great team and many dedicated volunteers who help make it happen.” Davidson said.
Davidson said he believes that the Fourth of July is about bringing people together and he hopes the festival will contribute to that sense as well.
“We hope families and friends come downtown, enjoy the waterfront, support local businesses, and celebrate everything that makes Corvallis such a special place to live,” Davidson said. “It’s an opportunity for our community to come together, create memories and kick off the holiday in a fun and welcoming environment.”
