The Oregon State women’s basketball team lost to the No. 1 seed Stanford Cardinal by a score 57-44 on March 3.

The Beavers were held to six points in the first quarter, but the Beavers came to life in the second quarter going on an 11-0 run.

Oregon State redshirt-senior froward Ellie Mack drained a three pointer right before halftime, but defending PAC-12 and national champions came out strong and won. Throughout the game, Stanford kept a comfortable lead, despite the fact that the Beavers played with a high level of intensity to the end.

Stanford had a strong performance. Anna Wilson scored 11 of 27 points for the Cardinal in the first half alone, and in the second half Hayley Jones finished with a double double and 18 points.

Oregon State redshirt-senior guard Emily Codding and Mack scored 13 points each, the most Codding has scored in one game all season.

Only time will tell if this was the final game for the Beavers this season, as a selection date for the NCAA March Madness bracket has not been announced yet.
