The award-winning singer-songwriter Alex Cuba, will be putting on a pair of Valentine’s Day performances at the Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts.
The two shows will be held at PRAx’s Ray Theater on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Student tickets are $5 and admission for the general public is $35, with tickets available through the PRAx website.
Cuba was born Alexis Puentes in the Cuban city of Artemisa, according to his website. He moved to Canada in 1999, and has since released 10 records, with 2024’s “Voces De Mi Familia” his most recent release.
Accolades received by Cuba include his 2022 Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album, and three more nominations in the same category, according to the Grammy Awards website.
Cuba’s performance is part of PRAx’s 2024-25 season, the center’s first since it opened last April. Ray Theater, the concert’s venue, has a capacity of between 80 and 200 attendees, according to the PRAx website.
