Oregon State University Athletics General Manager Kyle Bjornstad submitted a formal letter of resignation of his position on Oct. 2, according to credible sources regarding OSU Athletics.
Bjornstad, a former student athlete and co-founder of OSU’s Name, Image and Likeness collective Dam Nation, was promoted to GM very recently on Aug. 20.
Dam Nation had been obtained by Blueprint Sports as of Aug. 20, the day that Bjornstad transitioned from being a part of Dam Nation to being part of the OSU Athletics department. With this, the NIL collective became an in-house operation, now falling under Beaver Athletics.
It is unknown if Bjornstad’s resignation is related to the new NIL deal with Blueprint Sports.
As of publication, the university has not responded to The Barometer’s emails. We are following the story and will update when more information comes out.
