Oregon State will be well represented going into Wild Card Weekend as nine former Beavers across seven teams gear up to start the fight for a Super Bowl title.
Beaver alumni have made a name for themselves in professional leagues in recent years. According to the NCAA, Oregon State has increased its presence in the league, and is currently in the top 50 college football programs with the most players in the 2025 NFL season.
As the NFL postseason kicks off, Oregon State’s influence stretches far beyond Corvallis and onto the league’s biggest stage. The chase for the Vince Lombardi Trophy begins and former Beavers are poised to make a significant impact.
Of the fourteen teams who have qualified for the postseason, Beaver alumni are represented on seven teams.
Nahshon Wright, DB, Chicago Bears
The third round pick in the 2021 NFL draft, Wright has had a standout season for the Bears defense. He has played in 17 games in 2025 completing 80 combined tackles and forcing two fumbles.
He is second in the league for interceptions at five, with 118 return yards on those interceptions. Wright’s turnovers have helped turn the Bears defense into the number one turnover creating defense, having five more turnovers than any other defense. He also has the most forced turnovers in the league, with two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries to go with the five picks.
The Bears have gone 11-6 on the season and will take on the Green Bay Packers at home on Saturday January 10 at 5 pm PT.
Luke Musgrave, TE, Green Bay Packers
Wright won’t be alone in Chicago on Saturday.
Former teammate, Musgrave, has also had a stellar season for the Packers, securing the number one tight-end role for his team after their starter Tucker Kraft went down to injury.
A second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, Musgrave has recorded 24 receptions and 31 targets for a total of 252 yards in 2025.
Kitan Oladapo, S, Green Bay Packers
Oladapo will back up Musgrave’s offensive side on the Packers defensive end.
Oladapo received second-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2023 before being selected in the fifth round by the Packers. In 2025, he played in 17 regular season games and recorded 10 combined tackles.
He will be going into his second ever post-season match up, attempting to shut down a dominant Chicago offense on Saturday. He also is a key starter on the Packers special teams who rank 16th in the league.
Jordan Poyer, S, Buffalo Bills
The 13-year veteran will suit up against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at 10 am PT. Poyer was drafted in the seventh round from Oregon State in 2013.
During his time as a Beaver, Poyer led the Pac-12 in interceptions for two consecutive seasons. He won All-American honors in 2012 before being drafted to the NFL.
In the 2025 regular season, he recorded 70 combined tackles, one interception, and 0.5 sacks across ten games, the least amount he has played since 2016. Poyer has been nursing a hamstring injury that he suffered in Week 16, and was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He is expected to make his return for the Wild Card matchup.
Brandin Cooks, WR, Buffalo Bills
While Poyer attempts to shut down Jacksonville’s offense, Cooks will suit up on the offensive side for the Bills.
Cooks was a first round pick in the 2014 NFL draft and remains one of the most awarded Oregon State players.
During his time as a Beaver, Cooks shattered school and conference records in receiving yards, receptions, and receiving touchdowns. He was announced All-American in 2013 and was awarded the Fred Biletnikoff Award, only the second player in Oregon State history to receive the accolade.
Cooks signed with the Bills late in November and has played five games totalling 114 yards on the season.
Alex Austin, CB, New England Patriots
Graduated in 2022, Austin will take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, January 11 at 5 pm PT.
During his time at Oregon State, Austin earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention accolades in 2022. The defenseman was signed by the Patriots in 2023 after spending time with Buffalo and Houston. In 2025, he played in 12 games with 13 combined tackles, and has been out since Nov. 23 with a wrist injury, and is questionable to return for the Wild Card game.
Isaac Seumalo, G, Pittsburgh Steelers
Seumalo will compete against Austin on Sunday.
The Corvallis native has 10 years of experience at the professional level, joining the NFL as a third-round pick in 2016.
He was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl LII-winning squad in 2017. In 2025, he played nine games for the Steelers and is appearing in his third straight postseason with the team.
Jaden Robinson, CB, Denver Broncos
The Broncos will have an automatic bye into the second-round of post-season play because they are the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They are scheduled to host the lowest remaining seed in the Divisional Round.
Robinson signed for the Broncos in 2025 and has yet to record any professional minutes in his rookie season.
Kyle Peco, NT, Los Angeles Chargers
Peco will join the sideline for the Chargers as a practice-squad member.
Peco graduated from Oregon State in 2016 after transferring for his final college season in 2015. He earned honorable mention Pac-12 honors in 2015 and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2016.
