After a year full of twists and turns, changes and unexpected circumstances, I find myself at the end of my time as editor-in-chief of The Barometer for now.
This June issue is my last contribution to the 2025-26 year print cycle and it is filled with love from these editors, from these reporters and from this campus; all of you.
I cannot emphasize enough the kind of community that can be fostered on a college campus.
Oregon State University and Orange Media Network have served as my home for two years and the jump from reporter to news editor to editor-in-chief has been so hectic and crazy and fun and lovable, but it has brought some of my most important memories.
It is my honor to pass the torch of editor-in-chief to Marina Kandas for the summer term.
Marina has been with The Barometer for over a year and has never shied away from a challenge thrown her way. She is determined, so incredibly capable and has such a kind heart.
This paper and this campus’ stories are going to be in the best of hands.
