Three OSU Men’s Basketball players earn Pac-12 honors, Tinkle named to All-Pac-12 First Team
March 11, 2019
Tres Tinkle, Stephen Thompson Jr. and Kylor Kelley received Pac-12 honors on Monday after votes were cast by the conference coaches.
Tinkle was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and is the only repeat honoree to receive that designation. His award follows a season where he finished second in the Pac-12 in scoring with 20.7 points per game and fourth in steals per game with 1.7. Additionally, Tinkle has scored in double figures for 64 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in program history.
Thompson Jr. was selected to the All-Pac-12 Second Team in addition to his honor of being the Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He will finish his last year with Oregon State as the program record holder for most made 3-point field goals with 230. Thompson will finish fourth all-time for Oregon State scoring history.
Kelley’s naming to the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team comes after a season where he was first in conference, and second in the nation, for his 3.4 blocked shots per game. He currently holds the school record for most blocked shots in a single game with 9, 102 blocked shots in a single season, and 15 consecutive games with a block.

This article was written to spotlight both the student body’s lack of participation with student government at the time in conjunction with their class representatives response. [It’s important to note ASOSU was not structured identically to today’s standards, likely having a president on behalf of each class work together as one entity as opposed to one president representing all classes.]](https://dailybaro.orangemedianetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Screenshot-2025-03-12-1.00.42-PM-e1741811160853.png)
