Four OSU Women’s Basketball players awarded Pac-12 honors, Goodman named Sixth Player of the Year

OSU sophomore guard Destiny Slocum goes high for the lay up over two Utah defenders. Slocum helped the Beavers earn the 71-63 win over the Utes by scoring 20 points, five assists and three steals on the night.

   Aleah Goodman, Destiny Slocum and Mikayla Pivec were awarded Pac-12 recognition for the conference’s annual media awards on Tuesday. Goodman, a sophomore guard, won the Pac-12 Sixth Player of the Year. Pivec and Slocum were named to the All-Pac-12 team.

   Goodman, a sophomore guard, also was named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention by the coaches as she put up 10.7 points per game this season. Additionally, Goodman is 23rd in the nation for 3-point percentage. She was also named ESPNW’s National Player of the Week on Feb. 23.

   Slocum, a redshirt sophomore who transferred from Mayland, led the team with 16.1 points per game this season. The honor is her second-all conference award.

   Pivec’s recognition this season comes at a time where she has the second-best Pac-12 shooting percentage.

   Senior guard Katie McWilliams will finish her career being named to the All-Pac-12 Defensive Honorable Mention
